All-Nation Manufacturing was owned by Jim Wilson from 1950 until 1959, with production based at All-Nation Model & Coin Shop located at 182 N Lasalle St, Chicago, IL. The shop dated back to the 1920s, and, in 1959 Jim Wilson retired, selling the hobby side of the business to an employee, Bob Colson. All-Nation was run by Bob Colson, his wife Marsha and their sons Terrell and Bob Jr. until 1972, when the business was sold to Bill Pope.
All-Nation purchased the bankrupt General Models Corporation in 1950, as well as Atwater Models and parts from Scale Model Railways which was owned by Bill Lenoir and Jack Ferris (later of AMT/Auburn fame). The manufacturing side of the All Nation business was formally separated from the shop in 1966.
