Tucher and Walther was established by Bernhard Tucher and Elisabeth Walter in 1977, as suppliers and repairers of old tin toys, expanding in 1979 to the creation of new toys in Nuremberg tinplate tradition. The business continued until 2009, at which time Bernhard Walther retired although continued creating tinplate toys on a much smaller scale.
