Taylor and Barrett

(London, UK)

Taylor and Barrett (T&B) commenced business in 1920, established by Fred Taylor and his brother-in-law Alfred Barrett, Barrett being an ex employee of Wm. Britains. T&B produced cast toys, including a range of figures, farm and zoo animals, railway and many more. Following WWII, Taylor and Barrett went their separate ways, dividing the tooling between them, Taylor to set up F G Taylor and Sons, and Barrett, A Barrett and Sons. Both continued producing toys, and both remained in business into the 1980s, although no longer as toy manufacturers by that time.
