J and L Randall Limited produced a wide range of models and toys under two main but distinct brands. Signalling Equipment Limited (SEL) produced live steam stationary engines, microscopes, motors and signals (road and railway), while Merit branded products included chemistry sets and a wide range of popular 00 scale plastic accessories for railway modellers.
