
Marusan commenced trading in 1947, initially as toy wholesalers, creating their own toys in 1953. The logo above shows San in a cirle, because Maru means cicle in Japanese. Marusan produced a wide range of tinplate toys for railway, road, air and water. Marusan also produced die cast copies of Btitish and French Dinky Toys, including the British Observation Coach and French Nestle Milk Truck illustrated below.
