Markscheffel and Lennartz was formed during the 1960s by Messrs Markscheffel and Lennartz, initially selling model railways by Marklin, Trix and others from their shop which, by 1971, was also supplying their own range of H0 and 0 scale models. By 1974 the range had expanded to Gauge 1 models, many based on prototypes seen in and around Hamburg. Horst Markscheffel passed away circa 2014.
