Hornby Dublo track may be thought of as two systems, 3 rail with tin base and the later 2 rail with plastic. However, tin based track may be sub divided into tin based clockwork track, pre war only, and tin based electric track, pre and post war. Plastic based track may be sub divided into the initial live frog design, and the later simplified Simplec points system.
