Vectis Auctions describe this set as 'a Bonds or Bassett Lowke special order Brighton Belle brown and cream five car Pullman set, 3-rail 12-volt DC, comprising Driving Car (Car No 88 Third Class), Trailer Car (Car No 87 Third Class), Car No 86 Third Class, Doris and Hazel Pullmans. Each Coach is 48cm with all Pullman crests, metal sides, metal window frames, wooden floors and roofs and brass hand rails. Bassett-Lowke bogies are fitted all round and internal fittings include tables, chairs and lamps'. The Vectis description accords with that of the Bassett Lowke Brighton Belle set within the 9th Edition of Ramsay's British Model Trains Catalogue.

London Transport Underground Set
Bassett-Lowke introduced the London Transport Bakerloo Line 3 Car set in 1937, initially in brass, then of wooden construction. All were in red and cream livery, lettered London Transport, and numbered 7072 (centre car), 7073 (unpowered driving car) and 7074 (powered driving car). The powered car motor bogie was fitted with an eight volt DC motor. Late wooden bodied cars were decorated with a blue horizontal line. Each Car length 16 inches.
