Charles A Wood was born circa 1891 and formed CAW Novelty Company in 1925, to manufacture slush mould toys including automobiles, buses, trucks and, Wood's first love, aircraft. Production of toys ceased early 1940s due to the Second World War, and did not recommence after the war.
