The John C Turner Company was established in 1915 by John C Turner, in Dayton, Ohio, becoming a Corporation and relocating to Wapakoneta Ohio, 1931. The first toy manufactured, a pullalong locomotive, was issued in 1916, and followed by a range of metal toys including many road vehicles, roller skates, accessories for dolls, buildings and trollies. The firm switched to war work during the Second World War but, after the war, could not compete with new plastic toys, and ceased to trade late 1950.
