Sun Rubber Co was established in 1923, producing their first toys the following year. Toys were initially dolls and squeak toys, road vehicles being introduced in 1934 with a DeSoto Airflow. Military vehicles were issued during World War Two, and again during the Korean War. Various character toys were produced, wheeled rubber vehicles being discontinued in 1955, followed by all toy production in 1974.
