The Micro Models range was produced in Australia by Goodwood Productions for the retailer John Brent and Co. The first 25 models were numbered GB/1 to GB/25, after which the range was numbered G/26 etc., the range eventually reaching number G/42 in 1958, production in Australia ceasing 1961.
The Goodwood tooling was rented to the Lincoln Industries in New Zealand, circa 1953-56, models made in New Zealand using MMxx codes, and lacking the baked enamel finish of the Australian models. Not all Australian models were released in New Zealand, and visa versa
The Goodwood tooling was sold to New Zealander Kevin Meates in 1970, and used to produce models using the Torro/Matai names during the 1970s, manufacturing by Matai Industries and distribution by Torro International. Further models were issued as Micro Models in New Zealand, 1990s.
Gordon Williams in Australia issued a series of plastic Holden vans during the 1980s, using the name Micromodels (one word).
