Joal was formed in 1949 by JOsé Boronat and ALejandro Beltrá, initially as general metal workers and later as producers of die cast toys, mainly scales 1/43 and 1/50 for larger vehicles. Known for construction vehicles, Joal also produced motor cars, agricultural models and buses, before ceasing to trade May 2015.
