Hugh R Nason founded Nason Railways in 1934, and is believed to be the first major manufacturer of American 00 gauge models, kits being produced using sand cast bronze parts. The range included both steam and diesel locomotives, gas-electric cars, passenger cars, freight cars, track parts and cast aluminium buildings. The last known advertisement by Nason Railways was during 1950.
