Meccano Limited was a British toy manufacturer, producing Meccano, Hornby Trains, Dinky Toys and many others. The company also published Meccano Magazine from 1916 until 1981, monthly during most of that period.
Lionel trains were advertised during the 1930s, and some of the advertisements are illustrated below. Interestingly, no ads by American Flyer, Ives or Marx were noted, although there was one by Gilbert which mentioned American Flyer in 1938.
