William J 'Bill' Lenoir 0 Scale

William J Lenoir was a craftsman working in 1/4 inch 0 scale, known to have built around 250 0 scale locomotives, a number of which now reside in museums. Born in Chicago in 1910, Bill Lenoir was a member of the Chicago Society of Model Engineers and the Chicago Model Guild, and was a charter member of the National Model Railroad Association. A New York Central Hudson locomotive built by Bill Lenoir appeared on the front cover of the first issue of Model Railroader magazine in 1934.
