Série Hornby, Trains Hornby

(France)

The first Hornby trains for the French market were designed and built in Liverpool, late 1920. although production gradually moved to France during that decade. By 1931 the French factory had expanded, and most production of French Hornby items was French based rather than imported from England. The terms Série Hornby and Trains Hornby were used in France; for simplicity, these pages generally refer to Série Hornby. These pages include items made in Liverpool for the French market, but not French liveried items made in Liverpool for the British market, which will be found within the Hornby Series pages.

These pages would have been almost impossible to produce without reference to Hornby 0 Gauge Trains in France by Chris Graebe.
