James Fallows and Sons (Henry, Charles, and David) produced hand painted tin toys from circa 1874 for approximately twenty years, until, it is beleived, their traditional method of toy production was overtaken by the introduction of lithography. Many Fallows toys carry the trademark IXL, possibly meaning I Excel.
