E.A.M.E.S. (Reading) Ltd

E.A.M.E.S. of Reading was established by E W (Ted) Morris and John Gauld shortly after WWII. Ted's son David Morris subsequently joined the business, becoming a director in the late 1960s, and Managing Director on the retirement of his father Ted Morris. E.A.M.E.S. took over the 00 Scale Model Shop at 14 York Way, King's Cross in 1971, renaming the business Model Railway Manufacturing Co Ltd, the King's Cross shop being run by Ted and David Morris, and their manager Tony Dyer, with John Gauld in Reading. Both shops closed in 1989, both being in areas of redevelopment.
