Bronze Key Models

USA

This model appeared as an eBay sale, and was described as a brass O scale Bronze Key Chicago North Shore and Milwaukee Railroad (North Shore Line) Jewett-built diner-parlor cars from the car series #404-406.

In prototype service these cars were diners at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Between meal times they were converted to chair cars (parlors) by removing the tables and rearranging the furniture. This was typical of CNS&M service until the coming of the open end parlor-observation cars in 1923. These three cars were then sent to Cincinnati Car Co. to be rebuilt as coaches. The model is configured as it was originally built as a diner/parlor with paired upper sash windows.

This model was manufactured as a fully-detailed, unpowered body kit without trucks. The quality is typical of the excellent work of Bronze Key Models. These models were based on the William J. Clouser bodies of many years earlier. Both the Bronze Key and WJC logos are on the underframe.
