Believed to have been introduced during WWII, due to shortages of other materials, the Bild-A-Set range includes a railroad model, a farm, boats and aeroplanes. The aeroplane kits are the most well known, and the most frequently seen today. The kits are card with a few wooden parts such as axles and strengthening supports.
